I have noticed only a small difference between the two in the footwells at the side, my 350 is deeper recessed but this could just be down to the padding, which i am sure could be alter to suit if you were fitting yourself.

how much for the set ?

£340, waiting for some samples to turn up to see what they are like, have fitted similar set before (cerbera/chimera) from different company coverdale and fit and finish was good.

Alex, did you get and fit these carpets in the end? Might be thinking of doing mine soon.

Its only £550 inc fitting to get them done, is the £200 quid worth the risk and hassle??

only £200!!!!!!! it must be nice to live in some peoples world! how much do you pay for someone to check your oil level for you smile

back is fitted in but still doing some rewiring and tidying up front so not fully finished yet.

to be honest if you're not confident enough you may be better off paying the extra to have them fitted, i wanted to change and adapt things as i went along hence this is why i'm fitting myself.

DIY is good and does save loads of money if you have a garage and all the right tools..I was contemplating fitting my own carpet but found a family run business in my neck of the woods..(Gemini seat covers)..I will be getting them to fit red carpet with black piping..black over mats with red piping..Door cards in red leather with black diamond stitching..Black leather centre consoles..Dash..Door top trim..Door rests..Under seat trim and rear trim and where visible red stitching..Hand made red gaiters for hanbrake and gear stick..And some head rest covers with mrzigazaga on them for around £700..Ive also found someone local who has a massive trunk of english walnut who will cut me some new door strips if needed..Or i may ask ed to re veneer them..To be honest i could probably fit the carpet but all that stitching...It would look horrendous..eek..When i sowed a hole up in my sock the other day it felt like i had trodden on a boiled sweet..A cheese flavoured one at that..yuck..Mind you i once had a go with my mums sowing machine but managed to stitch the tablecloth to the bottom of my trousers..Trouble was i was wearing them at the time...hehe

laugh You're right that £200 is £200 but I know I would have made a pigs ear of doing it myself so I thought it was worth it. Gave me a chance to get to the TVR factory as well as D&C Trim did it.

As mentioned, even if I had got the carpets right there is no way at all I could have done all the edgings!!

May be worth giving D&C a call to see what they would charge for the carpet, perhaps even already cut to shape, it may not be any more than the £340 you mention and they have all the right templates.

Good luck with it

Were they able to do it in a day, or did you have to leave the car with them for longer?

They had it 2 weeks but that was only because I told them there was no panic as I had broken my foot at the time, my good lady drove over the Wedge and I drove her auto barge as it was left foot that was broke. Normally they wanted 3-4 days as they have to strip out the seats, take off the roof etc etc. They did a great job, here is a pic or 2 as I always take any excuse to show them wink

looks really good dave, i think d & c would have to be my first choice for carpets but i did try to get them to supply only but they wouldn't due to the fact that they know that no 2 cars seem to be exactly the same which is a fair point as they are putting their reputations on the line they want to know its going to look good. unfortunately my car is a far way from driving there so needed to be fitted at my house

I did my carpets a few years back now and I would say it depends on your patience really!! I enjoyed the finished result so much, and I am really pleased with the job but I didn't have a set for the car, just got a roll of carpet and trimmed to size, sent all of it away for the edge binding, then put it all.

Either way, makes a big difference!!
