This guy is STRONG
Discussion
I have recently started doing pistol sqauts, mainly to develop some real power and balance.
Then I saw this guy...utterly mad.

And then this, why is just amazing, just pure explosion!

I just tried the one legged squat and get all the way down and back no trouble.
I wouldn't have a hope in hell of doing the other thing though and wouldn't even try!
Can you do both?
You can go down and didn't even fall over the first time?I wouldn't have a hope in hell of doing the other thing though and wouldn't even try!

The hard bit for me was the balance, as going down and being on a flat foot isn't that natrual!
No, I cannot do the jerk, I would not try, to be honest I could probably have a blast with less weight but even then I doubt I would be able to do it.
i used to do TGU with my 20 kg bell

here is steve cotter doing jumping pistols and 64kg TGU !

I've got pretty big feet maybe that helps with the balance.Driller said:

I have the strength but not the balance to do it! I've always been hopelessly bad at balancing!

Probably an obvious one but have you tried holding your arms all the way out (and also slightly forwards) for the balance?

Unbelievable! A good find.
I'm way more impressed by things like this than a 600lb bench or 900lb deadlift for some reason. Brilliant body control - maybe a perfect example of "functional strength"?
Lights blue touch paper and runs for the popcorn
No need for the popcorn, reckon you're right. I'm more gobsmacked by fitness like this than I am by outright strength. Its more like a gymnastic ability/agility.I'm way more impressed by things like this than a 600lb bench or 900lb deadlift for some reason.
