What car are you planning on buying next?
Discussion
As I'm sure most of us are never far from planning our next car I thought it would be interesting to see what you currently have and where you plan to go next.
This is my current steer, had it just under a year and so far I'm delighted with it. It gives me sports car fun with reliability and reasonable running costs, it has the added bonus that my OH now enjoys going on Sunday drives to <somewhere>.

Next for me hopefully will be a Z4M or Boxster S, both falling into my affordability bracket and a definite step up, plus my OH is now insisting it has to be a soft top

For me it depends on the getting the promotion I'm after. So if I dont get it, it will be a choice between keeping my 147, or changing to maybe an MX5.
If I do get the job, then there's a whole world of options. I'd really fancy a Z4, but equally I'm thinking about getting my motorbike licence, in which case I'd keep my 147 and have a bike as well.

Largely depends on whether I stay in my home location for more than the weekend, if I do really fancy a Tuscan or a Gransport (if the latter dropped to £17-18k, instead of their currently inflated prices).
Otherwise I will probably stick with the GT as my fun shopping car, can't really think of anything else I would rather have for the cash. The V6 GTV would be an option but already had one, can't see myself in anything VW, only Merc's that interest me is probably the SL55 AMG, LR - maybe a defender

.Not given it much thought really!!
If I replace my wife's Boxster S (986) I'd replace it with either a Z4M or 987 but I really think she wants a 997 - If it was 911 then I'd move her towards a 993.
If I replace my ML55, I'd still want a 4x4 as its handy. I'd replace it with either a S4 avant or a RR (2003 onward) but its got to be cheap cos it'll be my daily hack.
968CS or E30 M3 - If either of them were to go it would only be for an Evo1/2 Delta or a Sierra RS 3 door.

Probably a BMW 7 Series. I was considering this today, given that for the price, I doubt I'll be able to find a more satisfying performance car than my MR2, especially when it delivers on so many fronts. So I'll chase something else entirely; ultimate luxury. Lexus LS400's will be on my list too.
