Hi all
I have just bought a 2004 M3 cab. Now i have just sold my Boxster so have had a cab for the last 3 years.
This M3 makes quite a noise almost similar to a wheel bearing sound, but not as defined a woo woo woo kinda noise (YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN).

I just wonder how quiet a drive an M3 cab should be cos this aint that quiet.

Also when i floor it the exhaust system sounds almost rattly tinny. Again i dont know what this actually sounds like outside so it may be a usual sound that cuts in at around 3500rpm..

any advise gratefully received..

thanks

tony

M3s with a standard exhaust have a very distinctive rasp. Nothing els sounds like it. As for the noise I've been in a few and many have slight noise from the diff or wheel bearings that shouldn't really be there get it looked at could be just low/ wrong diff oil.
