Dilema

Hi Guys/Gals
To avoid offending any of the TVR marques thought I would start here! Currently I own a mint original Cosworth 220 Westfield, fast and furious great for an hours fun but burnt legs and livestock in your face and a moaning missus its time to put it away after an hour. So the leading question is which TVR to go for on a 10 to 12K budget when I sell he Westie
My stepson had a chimp some time back, drove that and enjoyed but do they need putting away everytime it rains cos his was always damp, he now has a cerb, that is a beast but seems very agricultural in its drive, bloody fast tho. My preference would be a Griff,how do these fair for decent journeys, sound of a growling V8 is great but I wouldnt want it interupted by a moaning missus if they were too uncomfortable on the road

Griffs are Chimps! Fact and they are not by nature damp, mine lives outdoors and i have eliminated the little leaks that I found in the early days of my ownership, it really isn't that hard, go ahead buy a Cerb but you may need deep pockets to keep on top of it whereas with a Griff/Chimp you can service them yourself easily!

Griff and Chims are the same car more or less now. Both may leak but as said it is no big deal to sort out in most part. Cerb is a little better on the road than Chim/Griff if anything better around town and better handling due to the longer wheel base.

All are great i took my Chim 3000 miles round europe in total comfort.

Thanks Dave, yea handy with the spanners, it would be a weekend beast really but need somethimg thats not too hard to live with,that can take the missus shoping but give me some fun with too. didnt mean to offend about damp Car would probably live in the garage anyway

All TVRs are extremely comfortable, so you'll have no worries there. The Chim is more practical than the Griff, the cerb even more so, and the cerb is a lot faster. But if you want the roof down experience they are out. You might also consider a Tuscan, though out of budget for a good one perhaps. in summary, sounds like a chim would be perfect.
