why the hell do people quote something like that? Am I meant to do some mental bloody gymnastics in my head? 'Yeah 20 quid gets me about 120 miles'. What the fk is that? 28mpg? 41? Who the fk knows

Unless your a toothy 18yr old who can only afford £10 of petrol and a packet of Mayfair once a week, fk off and give me real mpg

I don't see what difference it makes whether people calculate how many miles they achieve by saying 'I get 100 miles from £10' or 'I achieve 50+mpg.'

Signed, toothy 22 year old.
PS what does toothy mean?

ETA : BTW how many miles do you get from £10 in your Golf? hehehehehehe

Around 24mpg, a figure you would have seen, had you bothered to read all of the 370z thread, rather than skim read the most recent posts.

350 miles would cost me about 112 quid.
70 quid gets me about 220 miles.

A red bull can full of petrol gets me approximately 1.1 miles.

My Saab takes about £65 to fill from the fuel light coming on, gets about 220 - 250 miles, may as well get a V8 !

Easy to work out the mpg, £65 divided by £1.39 = 46 litres, 10.3 gallons, sort of 23 mpg.

As I dont have a trip computer I prefer it when talking this way.

I know how many miles I do and I know how much I spend a week.
