Just listening to it now, so far, absolutely the best modern album of the past few years IMO.

Her voice is so unbelievably powerful, What the Water Gave Me, moves me to tears of happiness, it's so euphoric.

I prefer the female voice in music, and the only other album that I can compare this to is Hounds of Love.

Every song so far is stunning, beautifull and pretty much perfect.

Picked up the new album last night and only managed to listen to the first 5 songs before some friends came over. However, from what I've heard so far it is fantastic. They have managed to create an enormous sound with everything and the kitchen sink going on in there and her massive voice carries over the lot! Fantastic, I can't wait to listen to the rest of the album and I think it will have to be at high volume as well!!

Really? I had it on in the background while working last night, and only 4 or 5 songs managed to grab my attention. It's not that great. But the download is only £4 on amazon right now (need I say more)?

I must give it a go. I have to say that so far, I have been pretty disappointed, I wanted to like them but to be honest they haven't really grabbed me.

Seven Devils does have a certain quality to it, but the rest's just not sticking for me.

Looks like I need the paperbag smiley paperbag

I guess I'm alone in saying that FatM do absolutely nothing for me. I find them dull and boring and just don't get them at all.

I know we all have our likes and dislikes and we'd all never agree on anything. And this is me at the unpopular end of the scale smile

Back on topic now smile

Still loving her voice. Stong, versatile and sensual when it needs to be.

Best singer of the past 17 years.

I'll be getting this tomorrow I think. I thought 'Lungs' was excellent; not one bad track.

Eh? Are you being ironic? You are honestly saying that Florence whatsherface is the best vocalist you have heard in 17 years?

And why 17?

I'm very worried about you...

I still recall her festival performances the summer before last. Completely out of tune.

At Glastonbury, the contrast between her and Bat for Lashes who produced a recording-perfect vocal time after time, was astounding.

No, not on crack and Kurt Cobain died 17 years ago, he in my opinion was the best vocalist of that time, as shown in the MTV Unplugged session.

She has a brilliant voice, but I prefer her earlier stuff.
