changing tyre sizes - what effect on gearing?

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 1991 toyota townace 4x4 surf as a snowboard bus for the winter.

I got a set of 4 used winter tyres cheap but I have just noticed I've made a bks of it!!

Original tyres are 195 / 70 / 14" and the new ones are 205 / 70 / 14".

Can anyone advise whether the 10mm addittional width and the 14mm addittional diameter is likely to cause any problems fitting?

Barely noticeable I'd suggest, though it will make a minor difference. You'll probably find the speedo might be accurate for a change though.

14mm is just a bit more than the difference between a brand new and a legal limit tyre, so I sincerely doubt it will be in any way noticeable nor will it cause any problems.
