Got a winter round around for a few hundred quid. The headlining on it is a bit dirty and manky so I fancy it being changed to black instead of the creamy colour. I got tipped off that apparently painting it with spray paint (take it out the car first!) works. Anyone ever tried it? How was the finish? Acceptable?

I know it won’t look like its just came special order from Rolls Royce but if it works and looks alright then I might have a crack at it!

I'm sure Edd China sprayed a parcel tray from gray to black on one episode of Wheeler Dealers.

I'm not sure if that's a warning to not do it or an endorsement biggrin

I'm thinking more just off the shelf DIY black paint. I'm going to stick my neck out and say you wont need to primer it first hehe

Will probably have to Fabreeze the smell away after too

do it all the time, satin black straight on, good for carpets and parcle shelves, no way i'd remove the headlinning to do it though! some masking tape if it's a niceish car .
