Having attended a tunnel run in the Jag, the loudest part of which is the stereo, I've an urge to get a shed, make it loud yet have it useful for lugging things and generally not worrying about.

So here we are, an ST24 estate with a few miles on it and a decent history...

Not really even that impressive these days.

I always look at what mileage s/h cars are still selling at to see how reliable a car is likely to be, if there are still cars being listed at 150-250k then there is a good chance they'll most could make it.

When I bought my mondeo (a rather duller 2l est) there were cars on auto-trader with 150-170k so I figured with 96k on it should be good for a while. Its now got ~156k on and while a little bit more battered round the edges (3 people have driven into it in car parks, one while parked on the road and all bar one fked off without leaving details) still going strong.

I'm not going to hold my breath for it to die either (last mot for example it needed a new number plate light).
