Not sure I understand what this programme is about. First should be entitled 'what happens when police are stuck in the station filling out forms'. Secondly, there will always be mistakes, it's human nature. Yes, perhaps they should be more transparent but, given the manpower shortage, will only escalate the shortage of officers on the street.

That what I thought too! I didn't get to see the whole programme but from what I did see. The woman at the end of the programme who came 'face to face' with her arresting officer, bleating about how she was 'nicked' for no reason blah blah blah. Yes coppers can sometimes be heavy handed and we do rely on them to step back abit, assess the situation and not just dive in, truncheon blazing, but she was a scumbag who acted aggressively and abusively regardless of being involved in the actual incident or not.

And I don't get why the special constable was sent down for that agressive arrest, the 'victim' was being abusive, aggressive, biting and resisting, he performed correct technique (as far as I saw) jabs into the arm muscle to release the grip that worked. We got trained in control and restraint techniques for the prisoners and got taught alot about pain spots and things you can do.

Just a programme about alot of 'innocent' people whinging about the police. Tough it up.

Didnt watch it and made a point not to if im honest. We all make mistakes but its the justification of the action that should matter.
