Hi

Would anyone be kind enough to give me a "finger in the air" valuation on the following;

Mazda6 2003'53
2.0 TS2
132k miles
Silver (that greeny silver)
Black leather w. electric drivers seat
I don't think there are any other "extras" (6CD,aircon,leccy windows all round - all of which were standard at a guess)
Body work is "fair" both bumpers need repainting/replacing (the wife's car... say no more! wink) Metal stuff is commensurate with age of car.
Not sure how Tax and MOT but let's assume neither (if it's even relevant).

Thanks
Phil.
PS: I know it's going to be sweet FA but an idea would be much appreciated!

IIRC, at this end of the market, a new MOT is worth c£200.

Sorry - to answer those (obvious, d'oh!) questions;

Manual Estate

Sell? Probably part ex. but private if it's worth it (which it probably won't be, I know)

Actually, just remembered the MOT is circa 10 months (perhaps 11)

If you have the inclination ALWAYS sell privately.

Dealers tend not to use Glass's guide as it is released quarterly and can fall behind real time market fluctuations.

Glass's might value your car at £2000 but a dealer could well only offer half that!

If the car is in good nick and you are up to advertising and selling it yourself you can always over value and discount to what you are happy to accept!

Really? Every dealership I've ever worked at has used Glass's and we get a new guide every month.

To the OP, sell it privately. Cheap estate for someone.

So £400 is the estimate? Or do think I could get more?

Lots more, especially if you do a cursory tidy up.(depends just how bad she's bashed it!)

£995 on eBay and it'll be gone in a flash. I'd be wanting around the same at p/ex too.
