Ill third that. Tim and Russ have done both my Works Mini Wheels and M3 wheels in the last 6 months, superb work, great guys, good service.

As they will confirm, I'm a right anal tw@ about my cars and I cant fault them.

Pics of the Mini with the wheels done in a lovely fleck grey (just realised I havent taken any of the M3 since it was done but they are in a superb satin black).

They'll be doing my Indy r's wheels when I get round to taking them off.

Are they using powder or wet paint? They look wet painted, but can't be sure smile

The finish looks very smooth, I always seem to get a patchy coverage with powder between spokes and stuff... they also seem to peel/crack/chip much worse than proper wet paint too... hmmm...

Chemical stripping (never blasting) and powder coating or wet paint sandwiched between a zinc based powder primer and a powder lacquer depending on which finish. Those wheels are particularly glossy due to the finish (my favourite that they do). When I get home tonight ill take some pics of the M3 wheels too.

Anyone considering getting some wheels done is more than welcome to come to mine and look at the wheels if you like. PM me if you want to. I might even make a brew.

I've got some old split rims with polished outers that need sprucing up a bit. I think the insides are ok (just a good polish/clean needed), but I really need to get the outers cleaned/polished, and maybe lacquered.

Will try get a quote off them biggrin

Cheers

Dave

Well, Hull to York is what 30 miles ? So it's kind of answering the question, imho.

Dave, did you ever send your split rims to Yorvik Engineering? I need to send mine off the Griff somewhere and was thinking of using these guys.

Cheers,

Simon

Nah not yet, had too many other car related bills recently to justify other wheels costs biggrin

Tempted to DIY if I get the free time soon. Also got lots of little car niggles to fix up so that might not happen soon hehe...
