Spotify streaming to a Denon Amp - help a dullard!!

Is there any way to stream music from Spotify directly to a Denon AVR1912 amp without having to stream it from my iMac first? I'm trying to find a solution where my iMac does not have to be on all the time (or is it not really an issue?)

I know the Onkyo 609 supports Spotify straight from the box so wondering how you could do this with the Denon.

I use a Squeezebox to stream music to my 1910.
I don't use Spotify but it is a supported app.

Aha! Just seen Spotify is supported. Many thanks - so simple am I

I'm going to use Spotify as it appears from reviews to have the best quality (over Napster for example) ... is there anything else in the UK I should look at?

I use Spotify everyday without fail. I have it on my phone and I have a jack connection in my car so I've always got it with me. At home I have my PC connected to my amp.

Not very helpful in your case but just thought I'd give Spotify a good shout as I love it!

Just researching this a bit more and I realise a Sonos Connect (Formerly the ZonePlayer 90) will also do the trick.

On my 2112Ci I can plug it into the front via USB, select the USB input and play a song off of the iPod, I then play what I want over spotify and it swaps it with the spotify track, might be a bit 'hacky' for your taste but works fine.
