Race License Medical - How strict? Heart Condition

I really want to get into racing with 750mc or maybe a Caterham Grad but i'm a bit concerned about the medical required! Do the MSA Docs do the medical and/or seek info from your GP or Consultant if required? I have a heart condition from birth, i'm no more likely to drop dead at any given moment than anyone else and it doesnt prevent me from doing anything but sometimes when I mention it people get a bit worried.

Does anyone know of a list of conditions that are a immediate fail or have any experience of similar conditions?
