Ideally in the south east if anyone has any ideas, but for those Prodrive Anthracite alloys that are standard on the P1 and the Prodrive Mazda RX-8, does anyone know a good place to get them refurbed?

Much appreciated.

Have had some wheels refurbed by Lepsoms in Gillingham, not sure if thats any good to you but they did a good job.

I have been recommended to use Lloyd at The Wheel Doctor in Eversley, popped along to chat to him, small operation but genuine friendly guy who was happy to help. Decided to leave my wheels as they are for the winter but will be using Lloyd in the new year.

Would also recommend BJV engineering, lots of positive reviews, very good price and good customer service

I have the same problem, after nearly 5 years of keeping the alloys on my RX-8 PZ away from the kerbs, I finally scratched one the other week.

I think I could repair it myself quite easily, it’s the paint that’s causing the problem.

I took it along to a paint specialist who said that they are ‘Black Chrome’ and would be really difficult to colour match.
He seemed to know his stuff, but as he stocks body colours rather than wheel paints, I would rather get a second opinion from someone who has experience with this type of wheel.

If you find the colour code, can you let me know.
I'll have to get the job done properly eventually, but I'd rather wait until after the winter.

Lawrence I have used BJV a couple of times - they were responsible for the orange on the hooncar and the shadow chrome on the V8 beast.

I wouldn't say that they are perfect (a few tiny pits in the finish plus they didn't mask off the hubs on either set of wheels), but they are well-priced and good enough for my purposes.

I hear Lepsons are the best in the business if you're really picky, but you'll pay a premium for them.

Good to know Stephen, appreciate the input mate.

Lepsons in swindon is not a million miles out of the way...although it is in the county where my first attempt at a noble was stolen!

i'll keep you posted, might get both cars done at once for a volume discount....chances?!

cheers
