Hi all,

Hoping for a bit of help here - a colleague at work has had a couple of occasions whereby a nasty neighbour / person . idiot who is yet to be identified has damaged their car with a corosive substance. I.e. someone walks past the car and pours something onto the boot / bonnet and it eats thru the clear coat & paint and goes to the metal / under surface.

(How many '/'s in that paragraph?)

Anyway he has asked me if I know if Venture Shield or those anti stone chip or paint protecter films do anything to defned against corosive substances - whether this be acid, brake fluid ro whatever.

The police and council are involved in the legal side of things so this si purely a car protection question. Your thoughts are most welcome.

No, it's a film, if whatever being used is eating through laquer and paint ppf won't stop it, may delay it if something was spilt on something and you took the film off straight away before it got to the paint, other than that he'll have to lay in wait or fit a camera on his house or inside the car to catch them at it.

The odd splash of chemicals it could withstand or survive better, nasty fluids being poured on is something else.
