Can someone please tell me if the bolt holes for the ancillaries in the LS7 are metric or imperial thread?

An M10 with a 1.5mm thread fits but is slightly "slack" so I am thinking they are an imperial size.

Anybody know the answer please?

hi

i would say imperial as its a yank engine.. Metric is usually only European or Jap

Kyle or others will tell you size , failing that email Gail at American Speed(he will be up now) or the factory in the morning.

LS are metric

Most of the GM fixings are specific too....they are almost made to length per application (as much thread purchase as poss in the ally) and many are pre treated with thread lock/seal

Thanks guys. With all my gauges I could only find the metric one's fitted but just wanted to be sure.

It will all be assembled with thread locking compound as a matter of course.

Going to make the modified bracket for the air-con myself first and then look at the alternator.

Made some spacers to fit my air-con compressor to the LS7 and ordered new, longer high tensile bolts and longer drive belt today.

Alternator next. It will require quite a bit more work to sort.

Also started to fit an alloy sheet to the back of the cabin that the factory formed to shape for me.
