Beeping Celica

Anybody got a 99 - 06 shape Celica. I've been considering one, but I just read that the traction control has an audiable warning when its triggered. Anyone confirm this? It'd be a bloomin nightmare as I spend a lot of time on snow on the continent.

Any major thigns to look out for on them? It's shed money but looks pretty clean in the ad.

If it's the same T/C system as the Corolla T-Sport which I imagine it is then yes it does have an audible beep when you lose traction.

If it's the 6-speed, then it's not the TCS beeper you should be worried about, but the beeper that beeps when you're in reverse gear - that's by far the most annoying beep of the lot.

Yes it does and it even beeps when it's turned off to let you know when it would have kicked in.

I had an early 190 and that didn't have any traction control at all - I guess it was added in at the facelift?

x2, prefacelifts dont have TCS, who needs it anyways?!

^^ Admittedly my older Celica was a bit of a dog but it wad useless in the snow.
