Alarm problems!!
Discussion
Is there any way of locking the car without having to enable the alarm as mine keeps going off.
I'm suspecting the cause of it could be the drivers door switch as the windows play up sometimes, as if it can't decide wether the door is open or closed. Regarding the alarm, is there a sensitivity switch I can adjust?
Any help would be grateful as I can't lock it at the moment as the bloody alarm keeps going off, annoying the neighbours.

I started removing the little key next to the ashtray when parked after my alarm randomly went off overnight a few times. I don't know how much this disarms but it worked for me until I had it fixed.
The flashing pattern of the LED near the handbrake gives clues to the reason for the alarm being triggered - it's in the manual I think.

Where is the siren housed? I've found the alarm box in between the rear seats behind the recess. It has four little switches on the top right - anybody know what they do?
switch 1: stops the slave cylinder seals going.
switch 2: makes the car idle smoothly
switch 3: adds 100bhp
switch 4: adjusts suspension.
They are not labeled though and you have to press them in the correct or der or your engine will seize

I had problems with my siren, bloody thing wouldn't shut up, it has its own built in battery and even once disconntected and removed from car, still whined away for a few hours buried in the garage!
I found it quite easily, what with all the noise it was making! It's located in the offside rear wheel arch. Don't think I am giving away any top secret Cerbera facts there? (awaits telling off)
I also had an alarm that randomly activated (and didn't stop until the battery was flat) - this seems to be activated by a gradual drain in the battery (caused by the alarm) that I appear to have cured by always connecting the trickle charger when the car will not be used for a few days. I forgot to do this last week and the think went off again, although this was the independent alarm sounder under the left wheelarch (not the main siren) and sounded like a demented duck! Having reconnected the trickle charger and left the car unarmed for a few hours, everthing seems to have reset back to normal.
I was still a bit paranoid that there was a problem, and as a result at the Goodwood Festival of Speed yesterday (Friday), I returned to the car park after the RAF Tornado had flown over on full re-heat to check that the alarm had not activated and was busy draining the battery - needen't have worried!
