PCP - Any benefit in making lump sum/extra monthly payments?

As per the topic, is there any financial benefit in paying extra either as a lump sum or additional money per month on a PCP deal ?

If I make additional payments, will I end up paying less than the amount in the finance agreement ?

Called them up, and turns out that it does benefit.

I can either reduce the monthly payment or the entire term - but this still keeps the same GFV and total miles allowed, even if the term becomes less.

Which is very fortunate since I had intentionally kept my miles/year low to begin with.
