hello everyone !
I have an ultima GTR 350 V8 dart engineering and have some problem with oil pressure
last time I drive and 40miles after doing oil level (so at max) the oil pressure light begin to flash but still run at 3-5 bar of pressure and in a corner pressure shut down at 0 and few second after return to 4 bar!!
I have an oil loss but don't sucess to find it (I have another one on the oil cap which is not seal but have a new cap tomorrow)
do you think that the oil pressure sensor is dead ?? and it seems to bee not seal perfectly ??
where I can order a new one ?
thanks

PS: excuse me for my bad english but I'am french origins
and I run on 20/50 mineral

Is your oil sender the specific for the gauge?
You can get a new unit and make a check. May be a malfunction.
If the problem persists check the oil pump and filter and look for any possible obstruction.

Are you running with a baffled sump?
You say you lose pressure in a corner then it returns, are you sure that the oil pick in the sump is not drawing air with high G cornering? (all assuming you aren't running dry sump system).

Oil pump is sucking air when cornering. This is bad. Could be caused by
low oil level
non baffled sump
Sticking gates in sump
amongst other things.
Do you have accusump as recommended for ultima.

yes I have an accusump and it run good !!
I think that it's the oil sensor completely crazy and my oil level is good (3mm down from the maximum)
and the corner is not really hard i'am at 15mph max so it's not possible that the corner cause the malfunction
and it continue in the straight line just after the corner (I run 5s at 0 and return to 4 after)

wiggle the wire on the oil pressure sensor and see if it moves on the guage.. cornering might just be the wire moves as its not secured??

also how much oil did you put in it when you did the oil change... ive seen engines recently with the wrong dipstick length so although its high on the stick, its low inside the engine?

Is it the Ultima sender which does both oil pressure (to the gauge) and oil light. It is about 40mm diameter with two screw terminals.
If so it is the same as mine which regularly has poor connections at the sensor. I've tried all sorts to make the connection stay good but failed...I may just solder the wires on.

ok I take a look tomorrow but the wiggle seems to be secure just oil on the sensor (it seems to be not seal)and I don't know for the oil my stick was in the middle after come back from edinbourgh and I think I fill 1 liter or 1 liter and half max inside of 20/50 mineral after doing 600 miles
