Need help from car gods.

I'm currently looking for cars that has the same size as Ford Focus, diesel and preferably sporty, something similar to Seat Leon FR. I've test driven Seat Leon FR and I fell in love with it but I want something that I will be using for a long time and still be happy with it. My budget is pretty much 6-10k and I was hoping if anyone could suggest some makes for me? I'm open to all makes. Honda type R? Seat leon FR? Any other suggestions and which of these gives the best performance/feel of driving?

So requirements:
Size - Same as Ford Focus
Class - Sport, but not too expensive or top of the range sport.
Diesel
Budget 6-10k

Climate control and Cruise control are something also convenience that I'm keen on having as well.

Could anyone help me on this please? It would be brilliant if you can!

P.S. Sorry if this is a stupid post, my first post and I'm not an expert in cars, I just want to be happy with something that suits to my standard.

I think you may get a bit of stick for using sporty and deisel in the same post!

I can recomend the MKV GOlf 2.0 TDI Sport (thats what is says on the logbook) had mine just over a year now and I love it quick, handles well, plenty of room hold their value fairly well.

I apologise for including sport and diesel all in the same post!! Haha, like I said, I'm not an expert in cars which is why I've come here to get some good suggestions from you lot!

Also for the Honda, I assumed there was a diesel version to every sport car but if there isn't, my bad!

I like the Golf GT TDI , I'll have a look up on Civic 2.2 ctdi. What are your guys opinion on Seat Leon FR TDI?
