Hi,

This is a question for any Traffic Police Officers here.

On the display of the Pro-Laser III when you release the trigger does the display just show two numbers one the speed and the other the distance or does it also show the units of measure ie feet and MPH?

Also how easy is it to toggle between MPH and Km/H?

Many thanks

Sid

Most forces Pro lasers are set in MPH only..

The distance and speed has a plus or minus next to it, depending on whether the vehicle you are pointing at is travelling away or towards you..

Thanks for the info Streetcop.

Can you please confirm that it just has the numbers and no units displayed? I was not given the opportunity to see the display.

It says in the brochure here www.rnicholls.com/kustom/pro_laser_3_brochure.pdf that the user has access to menu functions do you know if these allow access to Km/H or is the thing permanently locked in MPH?

Many thanks

The Pro-aser 2 is in MPH only.

There is no legal obligation for the officer to show you the recorded speed, this is because you are not actually reported for the recorded speed but for exceeding the posted limit.

We very often had drivers asking for when the calibration checks were completed and demanding to see the book. we simply advised that they would only get access to that in Court. if drivers were reasonabkle then we had no problem in showing what we had recorded
