Car for young driver
Discussion
Now, its been a while since I needed to insure a car as a new driver and I wasnt expecting it to be cheap but even I was shocked when I found out that to insure a s
t box 1300 ford Ka TPFT it would be about 2500 quid.
So on any ideas whats the cheapest car to insure for new drivers or a more sensible insurance company would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I dont think there is such thing as cheap insurance for unexperienced drivers anymore.
For example my younger brother is 21 next Monday and on his 2007 Suzuki swift sport he's paying about £1700. And on his first car before that he was paying about £1800 and that was on a £400 fiesta 1.25. Also try fully comp as sometimes it's cheaper believe it or not.
I would look for something quite new and what not many young people drive. E.g. I pay £600 to insure my focus ST170 to insure my new car a 2010 mini clubman s it's dropped to circa £400. According to my insurance company it's because not many young people have smashed and it's not a car a younger person would go for unlike my st170.
Hope this is a bit of help.
