Triumph Daytona 650
Discussion
Hello all. Long time lurker, first time poster. Often visited the forums, but didn't think I could really add anything of value
. I was lucky enough to bump into a few of your Londonshire members on Halloween and had a good chat with a few people and thought that this would be a good time to start posting. I also know a few members from other forums and through work.
My current bike is a 2005 Triumph Daytona 650. Last of the four cylinders, when they went over to the current 675 Triples. Fairly standard and near enough immaculate, other than a Triumph TOR can, R&G crash bungs and the Ermax undertray. Lives most of its life indoors and undercover, as i've not ridden as much since I was knocked off my SV last year. And because its a bit rubbish riding around London.

I've only started riding when I moved to London through work. I didn't initially have a need for a car and there was no room to keep one. Thats changed slightly, but I don't think a decent car would last five minutes where I live. Hopefully, this will change when I move out of London sometime next year. Ideally, it'd be a Monaro, but we'll have to see how much I can save!
I've had lots of interesting stuff before however. Two FD RX7s, one standard ish, one single turbo'd, an EK9 Civic Type R, a Nissan S14a, a 1975 2nd gen Pontiac Firebird, a 145 Cloverleaf and probably some others that i've forgotten about. Only a few pics, but have more if someone is bored enough to ask.

The pictures look the right size on my screen, but sorry if they're massive!

The indis on the bike are the indicators for the 2006on 675. You can get them from a Triumph dealer, or cheaper from eBay as I did. Direct fit, no need for chopping plugs and are a bit more stylish than the original.
The 145 was 'fairly' reliable. It was 10 years old at the time and I put 18000 miles on it in 18 months, with nothing major that wouldn't be expected of any 10 year old car with 120k on it. For MOT, it needed a tiny bit of welding and other consumable stuff, so spent a few hundred quid on decent pads and discs, service items and getting the welding done. The oil pump died about two months later taking the engine with it, which wasn't amusing. It was a hoot to drive, especially as at the time I was travelling through the Welsh valleys and country roads a lot for work, although the previous owner put an exhaust on which was a bit loud. Sold it for spares or repairs, which was a shame as i'd have kept it a bit longer otherwise.
