I cannot believe;

a) How st these are.

b) The wordy poster actually has the words "Arse Piercing Rod of Muscle" on it!! yikes

These games are going to be the biggest pile of PC toss ever televised, we'll be a laughing stock.

Anyone see Al Murray live a couple of years ago?

"The Olympics".."it's going to be a bit st"

Just look at the awful apparently graffiti inspired 2012 logo, or the even more awful one eyed mascots. Typical politically correct "we must not offend, but make everyone feel inclusive" bks design.

Have to agree though, those posters reach new lows.

I feel ashamed that those posters may well represent this country.

Firstly I thought they were done by kids, then realised they were done by actual artists, I suspect, well hope anyway, to insinuate they had been done by kids.

WTF rofl

roflrofl

"Bridget Riley is celebrated for her optically vibrant paintings. The horizontal lines in Rose Rose (pictured) indicate the direction of the Olympic swimming lanes or athletic tracks. Riley, who began her career using only black and white patterns, started to experiment with colour in 1967, the same year she began painting stripes."

So 44 years experience and THAT'S what she came up with rofl

It's the ruddy Greeks again. They invented it, the lazy tax avoiding bassards.

But they are some of the most godawful piles of steaming horse ste I have ever laid eyes upon... Aside from the fact they are rubbish, what do they even have to do with the Olympics???

Modern artists seem to be complete s with no respect for the public or their own work.

I think I will be giving the Olympics a damn good ignoring next year, they are going to be a sad, embarrasing heap of st.

"Riley, who began her career using only black and white patterns, started to experiment with colour in 1967, the same year she began painting stripes."

I'm torn between observing that the objective conformity of the stripe can be contrasted to great effect with the infinite granularity of presentational colour synthesis, producing a veritable yin yang of geometric intransigence vs liquid sensory appreciation, and saying "fk off you pretentious talentless ".

Agreed, totally pathetic.

They should have just employed a mega photographer with a mega camera to take some mega high res HDR photos in some kind of Top Gear camera-work/moody style.
