looking to replace my ht leads and coil to eliminate some running problems, on grahams site he says the coil is from a vauxhall senator v6, however I have ben unable to find a senator v6 coil on the net, but plenty for omega`s and vectra, has anyone tracked one down and where from?

I know I can get one from tvr power or rg, but why pay over £100 when a vauxhall one can be had for a third of the price.

I think you may struggle to get it much cheaper as a Vauxhall/Opel part - I remember buying something ignition for a Nova and being horrified at the price was back in 1991!

http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/acatalog/VAUXH...

this is the one shown for the omega and vectra and its only £30, whereas the senator version is just a single coil, can`t find a v6 version.

I'm sure the plug is on the bottom so that looks wrong to me.

Hi Clive
if you want to have no more Problems ....choose these

ACT Ignition components and accessories

Magnecor Race leads, both Magnecor KV85 Competition (8.5mm) and R-100 Racing (10mm) Ignition Cables, are used extensively throughout the world by leading racers and performance minded street vehicle owners to maximize the efficiency of their vehicle's ignition system. Magnecor Race leads are the only ignition leads that can carry the full output of racing ignition systems while providing superior EMI suppression for electronically managed engines and superior heat resistance.

Magnecor Race leads are used on many serious race engines, such as current engines used in the USA in NASCAR, Winston Cup, Grand National and Super Truck series, SCCA (including successful factory vehicles and other series winners), IMSA, NHRA etc. Magnecor Race leads have been successfully run on many 5,000+HP Top Fuel engines. However, unlike all other performance wires, Magnecor Race leads can be used to improve ANY street engine ignition performance — because they provide EMI suppression!

Many owners would disagree. Magnecor are nothing special. They lasted for less time than factory standard leads on both my TVRs.
