I just noticed that early S2000s are going for as little as £3500!

To me, that looks like incredible value for a fun, quick, PH-style car!!!

I guess that there are some relatively thirsty (FUN) petrol cars going cheap at the moment.

What can you find that offers exceptional value?

MR2 Turbo. Somewhere in the region of £2000 for a really good one, bags of performance and very fun to drive whilst being surprisingly practical for a two seater.

The fastest car I have ever been in was a heavily modded (~500bhp?) MR2 Turbo - and I still like the look of them! biglaugh

I spoke to my Dad about an hour ago, who currently drives a 170k miles X-reg Mondeo estate :

"Son, i fancy a CL500"

This could be interesting.

B8 Audi A4

As discussed in the VAG section, they are now available easily for under £10k and represent a lot of car for the money given its still the current model with all the latest engines and technology

I recently bought a 2001 330 coupe for £2800. I believe they were nearer 4-5k just 12 months ago. Suffice to say I'm satisfied with my new purchase.

Similar vintage CL600 Bi-Turbos are going for around 10K now I believe. Serious performance and kit there, how much were these new?

RX8 is a good one. One for sale at a garage near me for £3600. 04-plate, but I don't have any more info than that. I'm guessing it's a 192.

Bit of a different one, not serious performance but good all rounder, Audi A3 3.2 Quattro. Same 3.2 as used in the R32, so 250BHP and 4WD in a sleeperish package. Seen them advertised starting at 4.5K.
