It doesn't go in to details but claims the EU are seeking to set up deals with the Ukraine and some North African countries that would mean people there would be entitled to benefits here.

I'd be interested to know exactly what sort of "deals" are being discussed. Chris Grayling claims that the EU are out for a land grab.

At the same time the EU may take legal action against us for not paying benefits to citizens in other EU countries who have never lived/worked here. Again, no detail is given, but how can thy be entitled to payments from the UK if they have no interests here ?

I think if the Tories get this right and sort out their PR this could improve their ratings in the UK ?

Problem with that is I'm not yet convinced we wouldn't end up in a bigger mess.
I don't think we'd find out until it happened either.

That's what the incumbents want you to think, they have spent years and a great deal of energy brainwashing people and trying to undermine any other opposition to the status quo. Everywhere you look, the truth stares out at you. They are unfit to lead us, bankrupt of ideas, and have an overall agenda. Namely to hold onto power at every twist and turn, even if it means selling you, me, the country, god and his dog to their counterparts in the EU superstate. They are no better than people traffickers, except they do it on an industrial scale. Let's give UKIP the vote and hopefully some other like minded people from the main parties may well jump ship and galvanise into a credible alternative leadership. What exactly do we have to lose? (that we haven't already lost)

May 2010, i was dissapointed we ended up with a coalition but very glad to see the keys of power prised away from the lunatic Brown. 18 months in i cannot stand Cameron (i voted blue), even if his arms are tied a bit by the lib dems he is a total waste of space, slight improvement at the least but we still seem to be a ship bobbing along with no power or Captain.

Time to take the risk and let a whole new party have a go. The more i see of Cameron the more i like what UKIP have to say. Farrage's EU Parliament Videos are excellent.

More people need to learn that a vote for lib, lab or tory is a wasted vote...

I never thought I'd say this but I'll agree with that.

I've been staunchly conservative and although only 24 years old politics is a huge interest for me having studied it at college and getting into the habbit of reading about politics everyday in the news etc I always believed that the main parties whether it be Labour or Tory etc did at least have a some care for what the people of the country wanted but after the mess labour left us in and then CMD placing the whip upon MP's for the referendum I'm left with the opinion that the UK should leave the EU and focus on making this country our main priority for the moment.

I have no doubt that the country would be in a mess for a few years but in the long run I think we'd come out better.

As I posted on another thread somewhere I still don't understand why we need the EU, trade agreements, sure but I don't see how all the bureaucracy improves the lives of citizens.

That said, UKIP seem to suggest that we could walk in to Brussels and say "Right then, we're off, cheerio!" and not feel any repercussions ? Just seems very unlikely to me.
UKIP say "we'd set up trade agreements" - sure, but are the other parties going to play ball ? unlikely, then what ?

I think eventually the EU as we know it will break up and separate into a whole raft of agreements and treaties. It would probably still be called "the EU" so they can all save face but would be quite different to what we have today. At that time we'd then be able to stand our ground more effectively.

The EU would still have to trade with us there's no way they could just cut all trade ties out of spite yes

Most of the trade would still be covered on the aegis of the World Trade agreements. about 94% if I recall correctly, again this is bluff and bluster designed to scare us. And anyway so what if Germany won't trade with us, We could always re open British Leyland wink

Why would they still have to trade with us ? What do we make that they need so badly that they can't get elsewhere in the world?

They might still trade with us but force terms that favour them?

They seem to be keeping VERY quiet in all this. Now I would have thought would be the time to speak up.
But...nothing! Not even a peep out of them during the 'In/Out the EU voting debate'

Strange. Have they lost their bottle?

Britain is a massive net importer from the EU. It's not what we make that matters but how much of their stuff we buy. Alos, if we left others would follow.........

Seeing the amount of foreign - especially German-manufactured cars on the road, I think you're right.
