Does anyone know anything about these little fellas?

I have heard rumours that they are a rare Golf 3.5 Cabrio option wheel (I have them on a Mk3 Cabrio that I am running about in).

Any ideas on value?

Worth selling or worth re-furbing then selling or just worth shutting up?

:P

They look a bit run of the mill 17s to me. I'd flog as is, I don't think you'll mke money refurbing and flogging.

Hmm..

Just found these on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-16-8-Forked-Spok...

Looking to sell at £120, mine are also 16s exactly like this in about the same condition.

Are those not from the MK3 GTi? Could be wrong though!

If they are 4x100 they would be from the Polo GTI. The Mk3 Golf GTI Anniversary has the 5x100 versions.

Probably worth around £250 - £300 for a set in great condition with tyres.

They look like 4x100 16 inch bbs rxii wheels to me.

In 4x100 they will suit early polo gti, will fit mk2 but people want wider dishes generally. If they were 5x100 you'd get a llot more for them IMO, for new polo etc.

I think £120 to maybe £150 if the tyres are good. The two piece is good as it is strong, but refurb costs are higher and more limited, a lot of places wont do them.

PS anyone else think this was about some silly new fashion, light headlight eyebrows?

not just me then - I was thinking that wheel doesn't have a beard.

They are currently on a Mk 3.5 Golf Cab.

I was thinking refurb, because they need it, but if they have a value I might sell them and stick some shiny, good condition wheels on instead. Especially if a refurb is expensive or tricky on these.
