Scaffolding hire charges?

Chaps, how is the hire of scaffolding charged for? Length of time needed x area to be scaffolded? Some other mystery formula involving cash or cheque etc? biggrin

If its independent then by the 'square' and number of boarded lifts. You will then have a minimum hire period.

I had two lots erected by an independent firm. Just call us when you want it removed they said

Usually done on running metre at 4scaffold boards wide and then times how many lifts high, a lift is usually 7-8ft depending on height of the scaffolder!!

But other aspects such as access, how straight the runs are and of course how your paying will make a difference.

^^^^this, obtain several quotes, then play one quote against another, being sure to have an "open" period for the scaffolding, agreement to the same prior to placing order.
