mazda rs ltd mk1
Discussion
Would like some advice on my new car? I have bought a rs ltd and she is gorgeous. Want to find some original seats as this model came with the original recaro ones? Would like to hear from other owners to let me know what they have work they have put into theirs?
Will upload an image today so you can see her

Hope you're feeling flush!
Here's mine, also missing the tasty Recaros

Not done much, TR Lane roll bar, Team Dynamics alloys, lip spoiler and a few other minor bits and pieces etc. Great fun on track!

...but what if you don't pay a premium because it doesn't have the original wheels and seats, it that OK?
I guess that's allowed

Call me sentimental but I like to see these special editions largely with original goodies. That said my R lost the wood wheel and gearstick and looked all the better for it.
My RS still has the original NArdi wheel and gearknob, although not fitted, and the original BBS wheels, agasin not fitted as I've replaced them with Rota RB's. Still got the rest on there, though - including the seats! However, they do need refurbishing and this will be done soon. They are definitely NOT for sale and never will be as there is in my view no point buying a special edition then separating it from everything that makes it special! If I ever sell it, all the bits that came off will go back on.

My old RS-Ltd was missing the seats too sadly (was original in all other respects though). It had the standard cloth seats which were actually perfectly fine for track use.
really? i thought they were rubbish for track use - there's no lateral support at all - i had to use my knees to brace my bottom half and hang onto the wheel (not ideal for steering) for my top halfskinny said:

Maybe furtive doesn't drive very fast :PI think the OEM seats are shocking for track-work personally. You're much more in control in a decent seats and harnesses.

Where did you get the lip spoiler please?
I got it from MX5 parts during one of their discount weekends:http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/product...
It's not cheap but it is a quality product and is flexible enough to absorb the odd knock.

thanks guys - being a single lady you have to ask these questions. I may just keep these seats then if it won't make it any lower - just thinking about the weight issue really. Only my second mx5 but I think i am going in the right direction ( and always mk1)
the normal seats aren't massively heavy, they're only a bit of metal and foam - i reckon less than 20kg each.
