Just been out for a blast. Lovely sunny day and nice cold air so lovely apart from traction! A little bit too much right foot and the back was out far far too easily. Did get a little too close for comfort on one occaision so went into a slightly smoother mode. It was a reminder that this is the time of year that cerbs get written off...! Cold damp Tarmac with wet slimy leaves isn't good for traction.

Jim, I think maybe it was just one last blast with the 4.2 - right Gazza?

I am hopefully going to pull the 4.2 soon, got some help lined up. Then swap for a box of 4.5 bits in a box :-(
Just need to agree with the garage that they will happily do the swap. Then I can start to put the sorry tale behind me. Still not happy or prepared or ready to pay for a rebuild when there was only 14 months between the first one and the engine going bang on the garage's rolling road tune up. Maybe it will all end well for me and I regain the love. Just a shame that I will have to dig some deep for the opportunity.

Left work this morning for my 50 mile journey back home only after 15 minutes of warming up and half a tin of alcohol before I was ready to go. Alcohol for the screen by the way.

Ice all over the place, fog in every dip but the cerb just took it in it's stride. What a car to drive all year round, what a bloody fantastic car it is.
