RV8 engine removal
Discussion
It all depends on which gearbox you have, and whether the chassis will allow the box to drop out at the back, without moving the engine. Is it a T5 or an LT77 ??? A T5 should be easier.
If at all possible, it would be easier if you could drop the box out the back, take the bellhousing off, and then you are just left to do a straight lift with the engine.

Lack of space to jiggle things around, stuff that needs to be disconnected, in our case the dry sump pump needs to come off before the motor can come out.
Crank pulley on serp motor is a bit longer so even less room...
I went for as far back as possible for the motor rather than forward and a little lower. This means there is hardly any room to move the box up,.
