Has anyone on PH got experience of using a Tripath TA2022 based amp ? If so please could you let me know what you think ? I'm considering buying a Pop Pulse T150 Pro or similar to replace an ageing Cambridge A70 power amp.

Some of the reviews I've seen have rated Tripath TA2022 based amps highly saying the better ones have extremely good sound quality in the mid range. Some reviews weren't happy with the frequency extremes though and they critisised the bass for being too lean.

I plan to use the amp with an Audio Analogue Bellini pre amp and a pair of Impulse H2s using an original Exposure CD player as source; the mid TA2022's performance looks amazing for the money, the speakers can easily cope with a lean sounding amp and the HF isn't too much of a concern 'cos I'm 46 & a bit mutt and Jeff above 13 or 14KHz anyway. Looks like a winner but I'm interested to hear the opinions of other PHers regarding the TA2022 or other Tripath amps.

Thanks in advance.
