Christ! Whatever next, a boot light!

Just found my Cerbera has a boot light, luxury after my Chimaera and Griffith. Mind you it doesn't work though, however probably because its not connected. The switch looks OK but there is a little multiplug behind the switch that is connected to nothing. I am guessing it should go to the fusebox as the actual light cables seem OK but head off to the offside towards the fusebox and the switch is on the nearside boot hinge.

Oh and anyone know what the numberplate light lens is from? One of mine is cracked

my boot light went recently was the boot switch got two used ones from ebay for about 4, instead of what is being asked from the stealer's. its a rover part. oh i also have the plug and its just spare as its not connected to anything.

I simply tested mine at the switch had the power but the switch was knackered.

Now fixed Took the switch apart, cleaned up all the contacts (if was filthy inside) Quick squirt of WD40 and the light now works

Could be that I'm going mad, but aren't some Cerbera boot lights disconnected because it plays havoc with the alarm?

Mine was connected fine, just the switch has ingested a lot of water and clogged up. My Cerb is a 2002 so quite late in the development cycle

That's stuffed it... No longer can I show my mug at car meets when somebody in a red fezza is going to look at me and snigger.

But saying that... Check out the Eriba caravan. If I can do a few towbar mods then maybe just maybe I could redeem the brand.
