Drivers door won't open

Drivers door not opening from the mirror button. Started other day when I had the 100 amp fuse prob leading to a flat battery. That's now sorted but door still not opening. I can hear a click when pressing button but door stays shut.

Where is obvious places to check ?

I occasionally have a door opening problem because the latch mechanism retaining bolts work loose. After opening the door
from the inside and tightening up the bolts alls well for another 12 months or so!

It could be that the central locking solenoid is not releasing properly.

happens to mine now and again so I spray the mechanism with WD 40 and usually lasts for quite a few months,
I will need to change it in the future

Well after a wee run today its decided to work again !!!! It started when battery was going flat so maybe that had something to do with it ?

If the symptoms were that you pressed the mirror button, and a relay clicked but the solenoid didn't, then for me the solution was to replace the solenoid. I finally worked out that I had a dodgy connection in the wiring itself to the solenoid - right at the top where it goes through 180 degrees with no support.
