Hi guys, looks like I have got a leaky injector, as i have an immediate drop in rail pressure as soon as the engine is stopped. Dont now which one tho. So thought of replacing all of them as they are the original ones since i have had the car. And doing the pipes etc. Is that right they use LUCAS ECR3620 as I will get them from Express4x4 at £24+ the usual........ta like

You can easily establish which injector is leaking. Remove the spark plugs and whichever plug is wet and smells of petrol identifies the culprit injector. If they are all wet that indicates a different problem perhaps the CSI leaking or, coincidentally, a fuelling issue.

Assuming that the engine sports a Flapper Efi system, the main injectors are pretty much bullet-proof and often wrongly blamed when there are several more likely possibilities.

  • Cold Start Injector and/or Thermotime switch.
  • Fuel pressure regulator.
  • Non-return valve inside fuel pump jammed with debris.
  • Leaking pipe/joint in fuel rail or thereabouts.
you might consider testing for the source of the problem before shelling out cash.
