Looking for a set of winter wheels for my C63. I have the 360mm discs with 6 pot calipers so don't think the Mercedes Winter Wheels offering of 18 inch wheels will fit.

Anyone know what the correct offset and sizes are for these wheels as it may be I need to go to a friendly after market wheel shop...

Would be interested to see where this goes as the girlfriend is considering one. Is the c63 your only car and do you have problems with it during winter/cold/wet spells?

Andrew, yes its my daily...this will be the first full winter with the car so not sure what it will be like in the snow but when the roads are wet then it can get squirrely if pushed.Otherwise no major problems from 481 bhp and 443 ft lb.
At the moment the Conti Sport 5's on the back are fairly soft compound but do give decent levels of grip when dry....however, 4500 miles since new, they'll be up for replacement soon I think.

Have spent the afternoon with ST-Racing in Norwich and they have trial fitted a set of 18 inch rims to check clearance etc. I was led to believe by MB Dealer that 18's wouldnt clear the calipers. They were wrong.

By going for an 18 inch 9j wheel, it opens up a bigger and cheaper range of winter tyres...means also that once winter has gone, the winter tyres can be swapped for slicks and I can have a bit of track day fun...LOL

if you wanted why not just get a set of 18 inch amg's that come standard on a c63 amg.

Apart from the dealers being greedy little buggers, do you think that they are maybe saying 19's as an advisory for clearance reasons just in case something happens?

(sorry if this sounds a bit dim)

i doubt it because c63 amg's come with 18" as standard if you go on you tube you will see c63's with 18" wheels getting thrashed on the tracks.

Ah yes sorry, I was being stupid, I thought you said you had larger brakes hence the 19's.

you can normally find a set of Turbine style SL wheels on ebay for little money.
They should fit as thats what's on mine with the 8 pot front brakes.
