The new scamera on the A422 at Farthinghoe, between Brackley and Banbury obscures from drivers view the school sign. Nice to have their priorities confirmed.

I'd noticed they'd installed this recently.... pity it seems to be replacing one of those speed warning signs too.

Do you know if this one is live yet? I haven't been down that road for a couple of weeks.

Ah, but installed so as to inhibit the motorist from seeing the important sign and adjusting their speed accordingly.

I don't know the area, and most schools are in "built-up" areas, but I bet the scamera won't stop working outside of school hours, whereas a good motorists will see the "School" sign and appreciate that kids are highly unlikely to run out from the school at 1am on an August morning.

Yes deeen, point is there is nothing else to tell you of the school, so now you are driving looking for the scamera or at the speedo, not where kids might be. Unless you can do three things at once of course. And yes it does appear to be ready to start raking in the cash.
