Is 30-130 just completely arbitrary numbers or am I missing something?

its a real measure of a road cars actual performance... the launch is usually driver skill and not all very fast cars are fast above 150mph.

gotta say sub 6s is damn quick... a mclaren F1 does a quarter in 11.4's and around 130mph i think... around 1.5's of that is 0-30mph meaning it would be doing it in just under 10's.
so that car is around 5 seconds faster than the std Mc F1 yikes

50kmh to 210kmh in 5 1/2 seconds, that car is crazy fast, but i doubt it is reliable.

I think a 600Bhp Noble should do 100 to 200kmh in 5 seconds, i am betting Andy's car can do 50-210kmh in under 7 secs, i think its time to find out Andy smile

I have to admit that the few opportunities i may have had to test my car full throttle in each gear and how fast it will go i have always slightly panicked at the back of my mind that it might fall apart or veer off and crash but would be happy in the presence of the rest of the Nobility (Tux especially) to give it the beans for the first time and if it breaks i have you all on hand to help out!

i think i have far TOO much mechanical sympathy!

I suspect without 4wd regardless of power you'd not get near the record. It's just a runway so all the drag-strip nonsense with super sticky tyres is out.

I'm not sure.

I managed to do 50 - 210kmh it in 9.6 seconds with the V box but thats with 480bhp, i was getting my time messed up due to gear change, somebody who redlines at higher rpm, can make the 210kmh with one less gear change, i found that starting in 3rd gear gave a better time than starting in 2nd due to also eliminating a gear change and eliminating wheel spin, but thats just me, my gear changes are deliberately slow because i dont like banging it into gear.
For example my 100-170kmh was 3.3 seconds in 4th, but my 100-200kmh was 6.4 due to slow gear change, 100-200kmh should be easily acheivable in 5 secs with a good driver, higher redline and more power.
50-130kmh was acheived in 3.2 seconds in 3rd gear in my car, but i needed two more gear changes to make it to 210kmh.

I am just speculating here based on what i acheived, but i reckon 50-210kmh can be done by starting in 3rd and finishing in 4th with higher redline, i am guessing 50-150 in 3.2(gearchange)150-210 in 3.3, i'm expecting a 600bhp Noble to acheive somewhere under 7 seconds, which would be quite impressive considering the record is 5.84.

You'll do it in about 17.3sec if you have to put the burger down to change gear

So what gear changes did you do? Did you start in 2nd? Did you make it to 210kmh in 4th? I was ruuning with 480Lb/ft of torque to achieve 9.6 but admitedly my gear changes are very slow and i had to change into 5th or i think i would have stripped a second off that and got into mid 8's with a redline of 6300rpm.

I played about with the V box for days, trying different variants, changing at different rpm etc.. and i am sure i could achieve low 8's with a redline above 7000rpm, even with my slow gear change.

If a 600bhp Noble can not get around the 7 second mark with fast gear change i will be suprised, because i am pretty sure it has the capabilities.

Maybe my reduction of drag on the rear clam is more effective than i thought wink, plus i was running without rear wing and without diffuser, so i do not think i was acheiving good downforce, maybe it makes a difference?
