Anyone else been through this trauma? I had 2 cards with Egg for about 10 years. Occasional problem, always sorted. I've had more problems with Barclaycard's bloody Indian call centre in one day than 10 years of Egg. Absolutely diabolical.

Both cards now cancelled. Absolute joke the really are!

Mine has switched over now, though i'm considering changing to something else. If only i knew what to go for as a replacement!

Gutted about this - Egg card all settled, I'm not really bothered about Barclaycard as they aren't generally very good in the dealings I've had with them. Shame I liked Egg, had been a customer for around 10 years also.

It's silly I know, but I'm slightly irritated by the transfer. I've had an Egg credit card from pretty much when they were launched and can only once recall ever having to call them about a problem.

How long before the 1% cash back is cut or removed entirely?

I've had Barclaycard for 25+ years & never had a problem.
Their (non)'cashback' scheme is pretty pathetic though...

Could the entrepreneurial types who started Egg please do it again, as Barclays suck. Ouef card anyone? Ova? Ovum. Or going the other way, perhaps a more PHy Spaff. Marketing has never been my strong suit.

An old Egg card I'd forgotten about has just been transferred to Barclaycard. I've discovered it has nearly a tenner of credit on it (as in balance is -9.75). Bonus! Now what to spend that £9.75 on?

A couple of problems.

Before I did my first transaction on the new card, the Barclaycard website crashed when I tried to view my recent transactions.

The contactless payment Barclaycard seems to interfere with the operation of my oyster card at tube station gates.

It's a shame Egg isn't around any longer as they were always helpful and friendly and I had a lot of good will towards them. Still, he only reason I went there was because of the 1% cashback.
