Focus II 1.6 100hp

Anybody got one of these and chipped it?
Throttle response is very laggy. I assume this is the 'drive by wire' throttle.
Can it be improved?

Not sure about the 1.6, but I got a Superchips Bluefin for my 1.8 Mondeo. Superchips claim 4hp increase, but it's not the HP increase that I wanted - it cured the horrible flat spots and lack of low end torque. Really is the best £250 I spent, made the engine far more drivable and flexible.

I'd think the same would apply to the 1.6.

Thats what i was hoping, not a rocket ship but response is pretty poor.
Seems to lag and when changing up at high revs doesn't seem to drop instantly.

Not had a petrol car for years, i seem to recollect Astra and Vectras i've had as company cars way back doing this too.
