garden wall question
Discussion
Is it dividing yours and your neighbours garden? If so, a brick wall will be classed as a 'party wall fence' and you'll probably need a party wall agreement for it. Unless you build it solely on your land that is.
ETA: oops didn't read that it was at the front of your house. Ignore the above then!

Might also be worth checking with the L. A. if there is a covenant in place meaning you can't erect any sort of wall.
In my neck of the woods there is such a thing and the only boundary treatment you can erect is hedging or post and rail fencing.
I would say however that probably 70 % of properties have brick walls and the council just don't have the cash to enforce the covenant!!
