I have got involved with a band recently and wanted to get some feedback from the PH music massif about their thoughts on the sound etc.

They are a 4 piece rock act from Australia, currently touring in the UK and Europe. We are trying to get them out there D2C using online distribution and reward mechanics backed by as much face to face time as we can generate.

The money seems to be in live, merch and synchs etc so we are trying to prove a new route to market for an act that we think has the potential to be a big stadium rock act (rather than trade off publishing etc to a major - if you can get them interested!). We have chosen an act that excels live to prove the concept and then try to grow it from there.

Sounds like Muse/Queen/Placebo ish...

Any feedback welcome:

First single: Like a Fox. Bit of Absoulte / Xfm play and a few spins on Radio 1

My current favourite track: Westward Backwards (gives the best idea of the theatricality of the live show)

Next single: Naked (anthem!)

No feedback? frown

Managed to get themn supporting Evanescence for their tour, which has just finished and they are supporting Kasabian for 2 gigs on Friday and Saturday this week, so anyone going to those will get a chance to see them...

Not bad, bit of a different sound.

Make me think of someone but I can't put my finger on it.

Not bad, like the guitar sound.

The vocals have a touch of Chris Cornell to them, as well as obvious Muse influences.

Good luck to them.

Doing well to get the supports you have. Why don't you want to push for publishing? One song on a global mobile phone advert and they'll be set for life...
