Any experiences?

I took a punt on using them for some winter tyres as they were significantly cheaper than mytyres/camskill etc. Ordered on Monday and my order tracking is now up and running - they have just been dispatched from Poland (free delivery!).

Just had a look at their website, no experience of them but they're only £10 cheaper than what Ford have quoted me and that includes fitting

Used them twice now, for a set of Snowtracs last winter, and a set of summers (amazingly, Nokians, best known for winter tyres rather than summer). Having made sure they were the best deal on the net, and checking over the phone with the usual suspects. They've been fine.

Yeah the winters I ordered (Falken HS439) were £19 a corner cheaper than mytyres which I thought was excellent. Mytyres price didn't include delivery either (not sure how much they charge).

I think initially some folks had credit card issues with proofs needed faxing over before they would proceed, which was a bit of a hassle. They're not quite as casual with credit card use as we are, where we just give the security code and off we go.

Must admit I was slightly reticent about using my credit card, so utilised their paypal option.

Ordered and received winter tyres from them about a month ago.

The only issue I had was that they delivered 2 out of the 4 tyres then had to retry delivery of the other 2 a further three times before getting us in. This was an issue with the courier they use, not Oponeo though.

No problems with payment and they give you tracking numbers so you can judge when they're going to be delivered.

Genuine company, they're massive in Europe.

I'm a little bias, but I'd rather support British companies with my money, especially as there's normally a few cheaper.

Me too, but I found that some of the main online companies that appear to be UK, aren't. If prices are similar, I'd stay local too, I'm no price bandit, unless the difference is quite marked.

Got any examples? The only one I can think of is mytyres, but I think everyone knows they're German now smile

I bought a set of Falken HS439 from them last month for my station car. Ordered on the Friday and with me the following Wednesday. Absolutely no complaints at all, and they were the cheapest I could find. My brother had a similar experience. Their prices have gone up since then, though.

I could probably find them again if I looked. I found a couple that linked back to Oponeo actually, despite their best efforts to appear British.
