It's just finished!

Anyway, this is the most recent thread on the matter.

Ahh thank you. Can't believe what Tom Watson said about him being a Mafia Boss.

Yep. Silly. As if there isn't enough meat on the bone to be chewing on.

Amusingly ironic watching MPs accuse someone else of being immoral, dishonest, lying etc!

Talk about kettle / pot.................

Tom Watson is a total plank.

All the grandstanding about secrecy about meeting "Neville" and it didn't phase Murdoch at all. The Mafia line was clearly rehearsed; you can just picture him in front of his hall mirror, practising.

It makes you realise just how cr*p most of our MPs really are.

If Tom Watson said that outside the protection of parliamentary privilege he'd be in court on the wrong end of a libel action faster than JM can say "silk".

He's such an idiot. All he does is make the Murdoch's seem like the victims of a witch hunt by using that language.

I’ve been criticised on other threads for saying most people don’t care about this any more. When people see this kind of questioning they groan and turn over (at least a family member did this morning) - this kind of thing is exactly the reason why people look at these proceedings with dismay.

That is a good point. He has had over a month to come up with questions to get to the bottom of potentially serious/illegal activity and he comes up with this weak crap. A group of schoolchildren could do it better.

Utterly embarrassing that to those watching outside of the UK they see Tom Watson representing the UK parliament.

Certainly seems to have backfired on him. I haven't seen any media say "wow good one Tom". General opinion appears to be he's made himself look a plank.

The questions really should be put by QCs, it's not a job for amateurs.
