I've been watching bits of Man v Food on Dave recently and after seeing some of the Burgers on there it got me wondering, what's the bets burger people have had?

Mine has to be at the NASCAR restaurant, Universal Studios in Florida. i can't describe how good it was, cooked to perfection, amazing taste, even just the right amount of bbq sauce (and amazing bbq sauce at that!!)

This thread is now just going to be a place for people to show off where they've been on holiday that they thnk is impressive or original, that they've eaten a burger in, rather than them actually picking the nicest burger ever.

edit - too late! it's started! biggrin

Unless they've improved massively over the past 12 months, you either havent had many good burgers or are easily impressed!

This place is usually quite good when it comes to the quality of the meat.

As soon as I read the title I instantly thought no doubt it's going to be when I go to Florida in May, SO glad two of the suggestions have been three already!

Byron does good burgers, the one in Kingston seems to do ones that aren't in other branches too- the Mushroom and Monterey Jack one is especially lick.

Outside the UK, any visit to NZ that doesn't take in Fergburger in Queenstown is a wasted journey.

its not mega-indulgent, its not huge, its not got exotic ingredients on it...but the cheeseburger at Goodburger in midtown NYC is a lovely thing.

Bacon, swiss and mushroom burger from Race Rock Orlando back in 2004.

Unfortunately that place has been knocked down now.

2 a little closer to home:

1) a Mr D's Demon Burger on Upper Bristol Road in Bath - Burger, lettuce, onion, garlic mayo, cheese, bacon and mushrooms. Simple but laways done wonderfully

2) Cheeky Pete's on Petticoat Lane, London. Lots of bespoke choice and always worth it.

A place in Jersey, C.I. c.1980 that I seem to recall went by the name 'El Tico,' run by an Austrian called Otto who had clearly stayed behind.

They were simple but in conjunction with lashings of hot screwdriver, exquisite

Then again, I have the palate of something jaw snapping, only just crawled from the primordial swamp...
