Bromley Pageant of Motoring
Discussion
I know a lot of you are going to Goodwood this weekend, but if you fancy something different on Sunday (27th) why not come to Bromley Pageant of Motoring?
Beleive it or not its billed as the biggest one day classic car show in the world!
SE London & NW Kent TVRCC have one of the biggest stands there, with 15 cars of all ages on display.
Its at Norman Park, Bromley (just south of the town centre on the A21) gates open at 9.30am.
Hope to see you there

Why is every car show on this weekend?? GFOS, the Bugatti aniversary at prescott, now this... anyone else want to have a poor turnout???
Tell me about it - but its the same throughout the summer with events overlapping.
At least we are spoilt for choice, but sometimes it does make life difficult.
We felt Bromley would be a good one for us this year, especially as most of our region are quite local - we will be having a bit of a party - please come & say hello.

Hi Nick
Hopefully I will be there with the fiancee. Do you know what time it starts? Also do you know which is the best way to get there from the Dartford crossing on the M25 going clockwise? I only ask because I can't seem to find Norman Park on streetmap etc.
Thanks
Mark
Hi Mark
The gates open at 9.30am, but expect big delays as the traffic will be a nightmare!
To get there - come off the M25 at the Bromley/Orpington exit (J4 I think) stay on the A21 for Bromley - it will be signposted - Norman Park is about 1/2 mile south of the High Street.
See you there
Nick

(you run that car in yet?)
What a lovely day! And the 27 litre Rover was there, it's got the Meteor engine, (which was a development of the Merlin and was used in tanks). The engine took up the whole of the space under the bonnet and the same again inside the pasenger compartment. The owner had clearly spent all of his time on the engineering as the rest of the car looked like a shed.
Displayed the beast on behalf of my good lady wife Lady T. What a laugh. I reckon me and Terry will be in competition at the club meet tonight for the most burnt faces. Its amazing what you find out from the learned public. For instance, did you know that its the strong sunlight that makes the colours turn? Or another sage who reckoned it was heat transferance ( like those T shirts you can get I suppose). I was also unaware that all Tivs now have a metal body. Came as news to me, but these people actually lecture you on these pearls of wisdom. Cant wait to see Ians pics of the rather nice lady plod in Di's car. Great day all round with fine people. Thanks NCS nice one!

Shame there were no S's on display though. What a classic car.
We did have a 3000m - pretty close.
Did you like the Taimar, 1970 V6 Tucsan, 1965 Griffith, 2 wedges, Tuscan racer, + Griffs, Chims, Cerbies, Tuscan & T350T
Love the all, but you cant help to notice the Tuscan is allways the crowd puller.

I went, and had a fantastic day. Took loads of pictures which I'm gonna post this evening. Who owns the white pearlescent TVR hung around to have a chat, but you seemed like a man in demand. Lovely car.
The link to the pictures is below. There are 2 albums. The TVR mentioned above is in the 2nd album No. DSCF0070. (If there is no preview, don't worry, just click on it and it will appear.)
